For this week’s everyday style, I wanted to use a lot of color. My favorite colors are bright, so this outfit is focused around oranges, yellows and greens. Most of my jeans are skinny or straight leg, which I what I have here. I find straight leg jeans especially flattering for my short frame Next, I chose a colorful, striped tank top and semi-matching converse. To dress it up a bit, I added a waistcoat vest. It’s a unique piece that I completely fell in love with. I also loved the tiny apple earrings. They’re so funky and sweet. Unique pieces and accessories, like these, can really make an outfit your own.

Everyday Style: Inspired by Hello Kitty For this Everyday Style, I decided to go with a Hello Kitty theme. I’m not very into Hello Kitty, but a very close cousin of mine is.
 
For me, Hello Kitty is the epitome of femininity. She is cute and flirty and totally rad. I wanted to emphasize said femininity with this ruffled blouse and circle skirt combo. As you can see, I went with a red/white combo for this ensemble to reflect one of the many looks of Hello Kitty.
 
One thing I love about Hello Kitty is her bow. I am obsessed with cute ribbons and bows, and thought this was a perfect time to showcase them with accessories. I’ve chosen these adorable pink and black ballet flats for both style and practicality. With them, I have paired white ankle socks with little red bows from TopShop. For me, these socks just scream Hello Kitty. I immediately wanted to replicate HK’s red ribbon in the hair, and this velvet headband is perfect. Lastly, I wanted to give a bit of a retro feel to go along with the skirt and chose the cat-eye glasses.

For this everyday style, I really wanted to capture a great outfit for being outside, in the sun. Maybe at a park or barbecue. I focused this style around these wonderful flag print shorts because they are simply fabulous. For those who aren't feeling quite so patriotic, swap 'em for jean shorts. Next, I chose a slouchy white t. The shirt is loose and comfy, perfect for throwing a frisbee or lounging under a tree with a book.
I think it's important to protect yourself for the sun, plus this floppy hat adds a sweet, feminine touch. I prefer the demi wedge gladiator sandals, but this outfit would look great with oxfords and ankle socks, too!
